SUPPORT FOR CHUMKRIEL LANGUAGE SCHOOL

The Dubbo Rotary Club has long supported the Chumkriel Language School in Cambodia. Now Dubbo West Rotary has committed to support the development of a library as an extension of the existing building with a donation of $5000. The Chumkriel School is supported in different ways by all the different Rotary Clubs in Dubbo.
Chumkriel Language School is a Cambodian operated grass roots organisation striving to provide accessible education and assistance to the local community. Chumkriel Language School is a small, local, not-for-profit NGO registered with the Cambodian Ministry of Interior.
As a result of increasing classes and student numbers in English language, computer training, and the increasing numbers of book being loaned though the community book library, there was perceived a need to construct an extension to the existing building. This new room will operate as a library/computer training room and in doing so this will free up the existing classrooms for that purpose and secure the books in the library in a purpose build room.
